At what temperature should frost covers be deployed?
They should be deployed proactively before soil temperatures approach freezing whenever frost is forecast, rather than waiting until the ground is already frozen.
How long can a pitch stay safely covered without disease or waterlogging risk?
Breathable HDPE frost covers can remain in place for several days when managed correctly, although periodic removal for inspections and maintenance is recommended.
Can frost covers be used on just goalmouths/high-risk areas rather than the whole pitch?
