MacLeod™ is a raised, semi‑automated pitch cover system built for elite venues. Integrated airflow technology and a central support structure help stadium turf management teams protect the surface in rain, snow and extreme cold, reducing postponements and keeping playing conditions consistent.
FAN HEATER UNIT: CENTRIFUGAL FAN
Creates apex to dispense water & facilitate pitch access. Increases air temperature by transporting warm air along the length of the pitch.
CENTRAL INFLATABLE TUBE: SUPPORT TUBE
Inflates tube to raise apex to 5 / 5.5m. Supplies heat and generates sufficient air flow to regulate temperature, promote grass growth & enhance surface quality.
TRANSLUCENT COVER : 6/7 SHEETS ZIPPED TOGETHER
Hydrophobic membrane repels water. Swift snow removal direct from cover. Insulates soil temperature & provides warm air flow if required.
FIXED ANCHORS AND RATCHET STRAPS
Ensures system is fixed securely when flat or inflated.
SEMI-AUTOMATED REELS: FOR SHEETS AND TUBE
Automatically reels sheets off playing surface. Compact storage (equivalent to 4 car parking bays) or ability to store off-site if required.

This semi-automated system combines lightweight, translucent covers with a unique support tube structure and integrated airflow technology. The MacLeod pitch covers allow vital sunlight to penetrate while shielding the turf from the elements, helping to maintain healthy growth and consistent playing conditions on football pitches, cricket grounds and other elite sports surfaces.
Modular cover design
Durable zipped sheets enable full‑pitch or partial coverage, with flexible configurations to suit different surfaces and schedules.
Central Inflated Tube
Creates a raised apex (approx. 5-6m) and helps distribute ambient or warmed airflow beneath the cover for climate control.
Heating and ventilation
A fan‑heater system delivers warm airflow beneath the cover to maintain or increase soil temperature, supporting consistent turf recovery and healthy grass growth.
Efficient Deployment and Removal
